The switch cabinet is suitable for power supply of 50-60Hz, 660V and below working voltage. It is widely used in the controlling device of power generation, transmission, distribution, energy conversion and energy consuming. Composed of C-type material with modulus E=25mm and connected by self-tapping screws and 8.8 class high strength bolts, it features high precision and strong rigidity.

IP grade
1. The switch cabinet is compliant with IEC529, DIN40050 standard.
2. With IP30, it is prevented from solid larger than Φ2.5mm.
3. With IP40, it is prevented from solid larger than Φ1.5mm.
4. With IP54, it can be prevented from dust and splash from any direction.
5. Negotiation with producer is needed before ordering the switch cabinet with IP54.

Switch Cabinet Types
1. Power distribution cabinet (PC) is equipped with GSW1 series, F(E) series, M series breaker.
2. Motor control cabinet (MCC) consists of large and small drawers. The plastic-shell breaker with high breaking ability and the rotary switch with fuse are used as the main switch in each circuit loop.
3. Power factor Auto-compensation cabinet is available.

Cabinet Structure
The structure of switch cabinet is composed of C-type material which is produced by bending the steel plate with modulus E=25mm and mounting hole. All cabinet and inner layers are galvanized, while the door plate and side plate are treated by electrostatic powder coating.

The structure is as shown in figure 1.

Partition Design of the Cabinet
1. Power distribution cabinet (PC)
PC is divided into four separate compartments. The main circuit and assistant circuit are designed to be separated.
1. The horizontal bus compartment is in the back of the cabinet. It is separated from function unit compartment and cable compartment by steel plate.
2. The function unit compartment is on the top or in the left. It is separated from cable compartment on the right by steel.
3. The cable compartment is in the bottom or the right.
4. The control circuit compartment is in the front top. It is separated from function unit compartment by fire-resistant PPO shell.

2. Drawer motor control cabinet and low current power distribution cabinet
The drawer MCC is divided into three separate compartment.
1. The horizontal bus compartment is in the back of the cabinet.
2. The function unit compartment is in the front left. It is separated from horizontal bus compartment by fire-resistant foamed plastic board.
3. The cable compartment is in the front right. It is separated from horizontal bus compartment and function unit compartment by steel plate.
4. The control circuit compartment is in the front top.

The drawer of MCC includes 5 models, 8E/4 with dimension of 200mm×150mm×400mm (Height×Width×Depth), 8E/2 with dimension of 200mm×30mm0×400mm, 8E of 200mm×600mm×400mm, 16E of 400mm×600mm×400mm, 24E of 600mm×600mm×400mm.

Bus System
The cabinet is configured with 2 groups of main bus in the cable compartment. These 2 groups of bus can be fixed on the top or bottom of the cabinet respectively. They can be made from materials with different or similar cross-section. They can also be used as separate power supply, parallel power supply, or back-up power source.
Fixed in the fire-resistant plastic board and connected with main bus by special parts, the power bus can be prevented from the electric arc and protect the human body.
With independent PE earthing system and N neutral line throughout the device, all circuits can be connected to earthing and neutral line nearby. The installation of bus system is as shown in figure 1.
Protective Earthing System
The circuit of protective earthing system consists of PEN line (or PE line and N line) and other conductive connecting component. All components of the switch cabinet except door and cover plate are galvanized. The connectors are well designed to allow a certain amount of short current.

Assistant Circuit Cable Slot
The assistant circuit cable slot is fixed on the top of the function unit compartment to place the connecting line and public power bus.

Security System
Each cabinet adopts a fire-resistant plastic board between main bus compartment and electrical device compartment to prevent the accident caused by electric arc and short circuit. The upper and lower drawers are isolated by galvanized metal board with ventilation holes. The smaller drawer 8E/4 and 8E/2 are surrounded by fire-resistant engineering plastic to keep stronger insulation. The cabinet adopts several kinds of plastic components to support the electric part. These components are halogen free and anticreep above CTI300 level.

Cabinet Type
5 types of drawer with different dimensions are available based on the height of 8E (200mm). They are the 8E/4 (50mm high), 8E/2 (100mm high), 8E (200mm high), 16E (400mm high), 24E (600mm high). The effective fixing height is 1800mm. These 5 types can be assembled in the cabinet for only one type, or with other. The number of drawers available in a cabinet when assembled alone is as shown in table 4.

Electrical and mechanical interlocking of drawers
The drawer has reliable mechanical interlocking device controlled by operating handle. With precise closing, testing, withdrawing, and isolating position, it is easy to operate. The functions of operating handle are as shown in figure 3 and 4. To enhance the security, operating handle can be locked by up to 3 padlocks when it is correctly located. After correct location, the drawer must be operated strictly according to figure 3 and figure 4.

1. Breaking position: The drawer is locked. Main switch and the controlling circuit is turned off
2. Testing position: The drawer is locked. Main switch is turned off and controlling circuit is turned on.
3. Moving position: Main switch and controlling circuit is turned off. The drawer can be pushed in and pulled out.
4. Dividing position: The drawer is locked after pulling out 30mm. Primary and secondary insulation contacts are disconnected.
5. Operating handle with mechanical interlocking
6. Connecting position: The drawer is locked. Main switch and controlling circuit is turned on.

1. Connecting position: The drawer is locked. Main switch is unlocked and can be turned on and off. When turned on, the 2. operating handle is locked by mechanical interlocking device.
3. Testing position: The drawer is locked. Main switch is turned off and controlling circuit is turned on.
4. Moving position: Main switch and controlling circuit are turned off. The drawer can be pushed in and pulled out.
5. Unlocking hole: By inserting a screwdriver and moving down the lock, the device will open the door.
6. Dividing position: The drawer is locked after pulling out 30mm. Primary and secondary insulation contacts are disconnected.
